My organic has been down a bit since October 2024. The unconfirmed update impacted only some of my pages, which is also quite interesting. I'm currently updating content and hope to get my lost positions back.

I'd say running your own website provides much more flexibility. You can implement any changes since you are your own boss. With third-party tools, you'll likely face some restrictions.

I'm actively blogging on Medium and also manage my own website. Both have their pros and cons and benefits for my online business.
